About the founder…..

Dwayne Hargroder was born in Opelousas, Louisiana and attended the University of Louisiana @ Lafayette where after being inducted into the financial management National Honor Society graduated with a Bachelors degree in 1983.

He formed Hargroder Companies, Inc. in 1984, which became a multi-million dollar retail property and casualty insurance firm which was later merged with ICT Group, Inc. and sold to Regions® Insurance. Since the humbling days of insurance, his business interest expanded into finance, and health care with the formation of Louisiana 1st Credit, Inc. and MedSource Healthcare Group, Inc. MedSource, a diversified health care organization providing Joint Commission Accredited Medicare/Medicaid certified home care services, including nurse case management for the workers compensation insurance sector. MedSource provided services through 4 branch offices with over 200 employees and was sold to an investment group in 2004.

During his tenure, real estate became an important factor in order to accommodate his business interest, and became his passion. From his first commercial property acquisition in 1989 and repurposing of a 4 story furniture store in Opelousas, Louisiana to accommodate his business interest, he continues to develop opportunities within the sector in addition to multi-million dollar real estate sales oversight.

Additional projects include multiple Louisiana residential developments, the acquisition and repurposing of a Louisiana newspaper publishing company now serving as the local business incubator in Opelousas, Louisiana to site selection and land sales to national firms. In 2007, Hargroder purchased the 120,000’ Class A Devon Energy office property in Lafayette, Louisiana and has maintained the occupancy rate at numbers exceeding the industry standard.

In addition to Louisiana interest, he also maintains Licensure and Real Estate Holdings in the State of Florida. Hargroder Holdings, LLC maintains a 30,000’ 5 story Class A office property that is home to Progress Bank, Law firms, Engineering, Real Estate and others.  Conveniently located across from Whole Foods and Destin Commons on Emerald Coast Parkway, this property has become one of the most prestigious business addresses on the Emerald Coast.

Dwayne and his wife Anita have four daughters. Amber, Elizabeth, Victoria, and Jacqueline.

Victoria, a multi million dollar producer in Louisiana and Florida with retail sales in excess of $24,000,000 in 2020, is the daughter of founder Dwayne Hargroder.

Victoria is a graduate of Opelousas Catholic High School and attended the Savannah College of Art and Design where she was recognized for her talent in photography and the love of architectural design.

These skills together with a love of people have contributed to her tremendous success in helping buyers and sellers come together in real estate transactions. Her extensive knowledge and reputation in the commercial and luxury real estate market have made her a “go to “ in the industry. Victoria is Married to Shelby L. Emrick, a Marine Veteran who is Founder and President of US Capitalgroup Mortgage, LLC. Victoria and Shelby have a daughter named Olivia Estelle.
